The ministry is led by Reverend Ayo Thomas, the General Overseer and visionary of Disciples Commission International who was called by God in August 1986 as a prophet to the nations, he carries an apostolic commission rooted in Isaiah 61:1-3. His calling emphasizes preaching the Gospel with power, pioneering churches, moving into unreached territories, teaching by divine revelation, and ministering prophetically through healing and deliverance.
DCI functions as a channel for the supernatural manifestation of God/’s power, declaring Christ/’s name across cultures and nations. As an evangelical mission agency, the organization employs biblical and Spirit-led approaches to missions while supporting native missionaries who understand local cultures and languages. This strategy enables effective, sustainable, and culturally sensitive outreach at a lower cost and greater impact.
